Sachs Bridge Gettysburg Pa

This bridge was built in 1854, it was also known as the Waterworks covered bridge. Both sides used this bridge in the civil war and the battle of Gettysburg.

In 1863 Robert E Lee's Army of Northern Virginia retreated over this bridge after the Union victory at the Battle of Gettysburg.

In 1996 the bridge was damaged by a flash flood and money was raised to fix the Bridge.
