One of the reported hauntings is that of a previous jailer, Mrs McKay.  Her husband was the jailer and he passed away.  When that happened his wife ran for the position and won, making her the jailer.  This is not a bad thing but she has been know to stare upon people while they sleep. 

The courtyard is reported to be haunted, many a men lost their lives in this area where most were hung.  One person reported having a conversation with another person at this location and when he turned his back for a second and turned back and he was gone.   

The Courtyard area was the area where prisoners met their current fate.  It was the hanging area for the jail.  

A person reported being in the area and sitting at a table and having a conversation with another man and the person turned to look away and when he turned back the man was gone,

When I went through the jail I picked up a couple of  figures with my SLS camera.  The first one was when we first entered the jail.  When you enter a jail you usually have and area where there are two doors  this area is in case a prisoner escapes their cell and they can make it through the first gate there is a second gate to stop the escape.  The first figure was standing guard at the entrance, but when I picked them up they took off running to hide from me.  So I continued on inside the jail and I picked up another figure inside the last cell of the jail.
